Out and About Activities

Everyday outings that build real-world independence through buses, shopping, cafés and local adventures.

Out and About Activities

At Enabling Activities, being out in the local community is a normal part of every day, not an occasional extra. A typical day will usually include at least half the time spent "out and about" in Stafford and the surrounding areas, supported by experienced Enablers.
These outings are designed to be real-life, everyday experiences that build confidence, independence, and social skills in a safe and supportive way.

Integration into Public Life

The aim of Out and About Activities is to help customers feel confident and safe when using local services and being visible in the community. Enablers encourage customers to make their own choices, interact with other people, and practise everyday skills that can be used outside of the service.
Each outing is flexible and person-centred: customers are supported to take an active role rather than simply being "taken out".
